No Man Of God (2021)
Was a fantastic film, very much reminiscent of Mindhunter. I’ve always enjoyed Elijah Wood, and this is some of his most inspired acting. Luke Kirby is not an actor that I’m familiar with, but he did an excellent job of portraying Ted Bundy in a more true to life way than we sometimes see in these dramatizations.
If you enjoyed this movie, be sure to check out Mindhunter if you haven’t already done so. It’s a much deeper dive into the story behind the emergence of the FBI’s criminal profiling. Though it does delve deeper into the macabre details of other real life serial killers. It’s in my top 10 favorite TV shows.
Another noteworthy mention, more in-line with this movie would be Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes. It has a lot more time to spend exploring the life and crimes of Ted Bundy, and how he was able to get away with it for so long.
Disclaimer: None of this is a celebration of serial killers or the heinous crimes that they commit. I’m just fascinated by true crime, and have a real respect for the professionals who devote their life and careers to catching monsters like Ted Bundy.
